ODN Direct Connect Server

Sharing information has always been a very important point for us. In the society of sec.XXI , access to data and converting these into knowledge is a vital issue, both for individuals ( students, self-taught ) and for companies alike.

The availability of a Direct Connect server on a free and open platforms is part of our vision of sharing. We (naturally ) agree with the points of Human Rights, primarily the right to open access to data, information and knowledge and free communication process.

Participation in community networks is also a future project in which this kind of servers have a major role.

ALP Translation

ALP

ODN started the translation to Portuguese (PT) of the last version of Autonomous Lan Party 0.98.3, with the objective of sharing it with the community. At this moment it can be tested by you at http://www.oestedigital.net/clp/

This project is being supervised by Carlos Gonçalves (translator of the Portuguese (PT) for GNU/Linux openSUSE) being the other members João Coito and Alexandre Caetano. Any help will be welcome.

This is the beggining of one of many projects that ODN will try to develop in this area, not only for Lan Parties, but also inside the concept of open software.

We support some enterprises and all schools whit the processes of migration from closed source to open source. This project resumes by a list page in portuguese of some of the software indicated by Ministério da Educação and by us to help professionals and teachers to select the best choices.

Lan Party Network

Lan Party Network
Our project is as simple as creating a page with a Google Maps API and worked with a database behind and have a complete listing of all the lans that take place in Portugal and its geographical location on the map.

The beta version is already available, and it's used by the biggest national LAN Parties.
